Grow our own - more allotments, communal vegetable growing schemes perhaps tied into existing support groups e.g. patient support groups, Day Centres, Schools, Learning difficulties groups etc./

Encourage more people to grow their own food, make the valley a market garden.

Encourage people to cultivate their own back yards. even if the only space is a balcony or window box. The seeds companies have responded with mini veg varieties that can be grown in pots and tubs.

-A directory of green food suppliers is available at Ilkley Freecycle Café including organic fruit and veg deliveries, milk deliveries, local meat
-Otley Farmers' Market aims to provide fresh food and produce sourced as locally as possible and sold to the public by the producer.
It is held in the Market Place in the centre of Otley at 9am until 1pm on the last Sunday of each month except in December when the market. is held on the Sunday before Christmas.

Pets reliant on high meat food (cats, dogs) may become less common, let's appreciate our wildlife instead.
